Naturalis Mer represents our commitment to red and white Garnacha grapes organically cultivated and vinified in Terra Alta. We have accepted the challenge of making this wine in the least intrusive way possible and all within the framework of those stringent regulations governing the production of organic wines.
Selected grapes from the best organic grown vineyards. Grapes are crushed, trampled and fermented under controlled temperature with native yeasts and minimal intervention, just daily reductions until ending the alcoholic fermentation. Wine is clarified by gravity into concrete tanks where it starts the malolactic fermentation with no addition of lactic bacteria. Once malolactic fermentation is over, the wine is moved into French oak barrels remaining there for 3 months when it is bottled.
Colour: Ripe cherry red
Flavour: Red fruit such as ripe cherry, wild strawberries, raspberries, black liquorice and a spicy touch very well integrated with the toasted flavour from the oak barrel.
Taste: Tasty, fleshy, balanced, greasy and with a good structure. It reminds red and black fruit, with a mineral and spicy touch and a persisting and pleasant end.
Ideal with white meat accompanied by strong sauces, grilled or baked lamb, stews and red grilled meat. Also with all type of cheese, preferably sheep ones and ideal with salads with nuts.
