    A Commended award for Vallmajor 2015 at the IWC 2016

    Vallmajor 2015 has been awarded a commended adward at the International Wine Challenger – IWC. The most comprehensive and influential blind wine tasting competition in the world, celebrated annually in London. In the same Challenge our wine L’Aube 2010 has been awarded a Bronze medal.     Berliner Wein Trophy 2016

    The contest developed in Berlin is the most important celebrated in Germany, and counts with the recognitions and endorsements of the European Union, the International Organization of the Wine and the German Senate. The 22th of February, there have been publicized the prizes of the Berliner Wein Trophy, celebrated from March 4th to February 7th in the German capital, a prestigious contest of international character that recognizes the best wines submitted to the highest standards of quality.     Coupages  

    Coupage: derives from the French word “couper,” meaning “to cut.” In the world of wine, the coupage is the process where different wines are blended together to improve or complement their properties. This week in Celler Batea, our winemakers are tasting all the oak barrels where our best garnachas and carignan wines were aging inside for 14 months.
