    The contest developed in Berlin is the most important celebrated in Germany, and counts with the recognitions and endorsements of the European Union, the International Organization of the Wine and the German Senate.     Equinox white – Gold Medal in the International Grenaches Coompetition 2017

    INTERNATIONAL GRENACHES COMPETITION Open to all types of wine (still, fortified, sparkling, liqueur, dessert wines…), the Grenaches of the World international competition brings together a unique panel of judges, to discover and select the best world’s wines from the Grenache grape variety from around the world.     Last october, Celler Batea receive the great news to have won two more awards in its career. Primicia Crianza 2013 and Tipicitat Old Vine Garnacha and Carignena 2012 have received two gold medals at the Asia Wine Trophy 2016.   Wine consuption has grown in the last few years, specially in Asian countries.     THE VINE’S GROWTH CYCLE VI – winter dormancy period

    After Harvest After Harvest harvest, the vines continues the process of photosynthesis, creating carbohydrate reserves to store in the vine’s roots and trunks. It will continue doing this until an appropriate level of reserves have been stored. At that point the chlorophyll in the leaves begin to break down and the leaves change color from green to yellow. Following the first frost the leaves begin to fall as the vine starts to enter its winter dormancy period. The following spring, the cycle begins again.
